ACTING COACH
ACTING TEACHER

I began in the ‘business that dreams are made of’ as a child with my own ventriloquist act. Studied at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in NYC, and after Hood College, trained under Sanford Meisner at The Neighborhood Playhouse School of the Theatre in NYC. Then, traveled the country as a professional actress.

Subsequently, I created and produced my own cable TV show entitled, KEYHOLES; and have been involved with a variety of production and writing assignments, for both short films and TV commercials, in association with the award winning New York commercial producer, Ed Carr. As well, I was Film Distribution Manager for Hemisphere Pictures in NYC, where I served as production coordinator on the film, “Mysteries of the Gods” with WILLIAM SHATNER.

As a journalist I have interviewed such notables as Sydney Pollock, Peter Falk, Alan Arkin, Arthur Hiller, Peter Weir, Franco Brusati, Jean-Jacques Annaud, Sven Nykvist, and Joseph E. Levine.  I have been training actors for over two decades, and for several years I wrote THE YELLOW BRICK ROAD, an advice column for actors, which appeared in SHOW BUSINESS, a NYC weekly publication.

Film Director

“It’s been a long time since I’ve read an interview of mine and felt so pleased with it.”

M. JAMES ROBERTSON, Director of Advertising, Monsanto

“I met Pamela Childs in the process of screening her TV Pilot, KEYHOLES…a person with my responsibility is obliged to participate in a number of presentations. It is rare, indeed, to meet an individual who combines a sensitivity to his or her environment and the professional ability to capture, articulate, and convey a refreshing view thereof…the superiorty of her talent and ability was readily apparent.”
