Selling The Actor — Acting Tips
Selling The Actor — Acting Tips and Resources
The CONCEPT OF THE ACTOR AS A PRODUCT that must be SOLD is addressed. An understanding of who the artist is and how they will be best marketed is evaluated.
This involves image (hair, make-up, and clothes), professional pictures, resume, audition videos, and interview technique, both on the phone and in person.
The camera is a wonderful tool for this area of the business. As well, actors are guided to the appropriate resources for agents, casting directors, managers, auditions, unions, etc.
Student audition scenes are directed and videotaped by Pamela Sparrow Childs for agents to submit for casting.
